(Phaenicophilidae; Ϯ White-winged Warbler X. montana) Gr. ξενος xenos stranger; genus Ligea Cory, 1884, warbler. “Differs from Microligea (M. palustris) by shorter and much thicker bill; rictal bristles obvious, but not very distinct; plumage more compact. The white on remiges and rectrices is unique among “Geothlypeae ” ... more arboreal (Dendroica -like) than other species of this complex” (Bond 1967).
