Elminia, Bp., est établi pour l'espèce bleue, Myiagra longicauda, Sw., Flycatchers, t. 25, dont Hartlaub fait bien à tort une Muscipeta." (Bonaparte 1854); "Elminia Bonaparte, 1854, Compt. Rend. Acad. Sci., Paris, 38, p. 652 (nomen nudum on p. 388). Type, by original designation, Myiagra longicauda Swainson." (Traylor in Peters, 1986, XI, p. 467).
