Rostrum mediocre, gracile, compressum, sub-arcuatum, integrum. Alæ breves, rotundatæ; remige 1ma brevi; 3tia, 4ta, et 5ta sub-æqualibus, longissimis. Cauda mediocris, lata, rotundata, debilis. Pedes graciles; tarsis elevatis, squamis anterioribus infrequentibus, lateralibus obsoletis, posterioribus frequentibus, parvis; halluce digito medio breviore, ungue curvato. Bill moderate, slender, compressed, slightly curved, entire. Wings short, rounded; first quill short, the third, fourth, and fifth nearly equal and longest. Tail graduated, soft. Legs slender; tarsi elevated, anterior scales few, lateral scales obsolete, posterior scales numerous, small; hind toe shorter than the middle, the claw curved."
