(Thamnophilidae; Ϯ Spot-breasted Antvireo D. stictothorax) Gr. δυω duō  to plunge; θαμνος thamnos  bush; "Gen. Dysithamnus n. gen.  (δυω, hineinbegeben; θαμνος, Gebüsch).  Die hierher gehörigen Arten sind bisher bald zu Thamnophilus, bald zu Myiothera oder Formicivora gestellt worden. Eine generische Absonderung scheint gerechtfertigt und ist schon von Swainson (Zool. Journ. I. 1824. p. 146) unter der Bezeichnung "short-tailed Thamnophili" angedeutet.  ...  1.
