(Oceanitidae; Ϯ Wilson's Storm-petrel O. oceanicus) Gr. myth. Oceanides or Oceanitides, the sea nymphs, three thousand in number, the daughters of the sea god Oceanus and the goddess Tethys; Wilson’s Storm-petrel is the most numerous seabird in the world, breeding on sub-Antarctic islands in its millions; "GEN. 158.  OCEANITES NOV.
