Ein kürzerer, stärker gebogner Schnabel, nicht zugespitzte Flügel mit längerer 1ster Schwinge und längeren Armschwingen, ein längerer stark abgerundeter Schwanz und kürzere weniger entwickelte Füsse unterscheiden die Gattung von Monticola und Saxicola. Der gestiefelte Lauf allein ist genügender Unterschied von Thamnobia. Als 3te Art gehört hierher: Thamnolaea albiscapulata Nob. Saxicola albiscapulata Rüpp. Neue Wirbelth. tab. 62."
