LOPHOTRICCUS1 SQUAMICRISTATUS (Lafr.). ... 1 Lophotriccus, nov. gen., Berlepsch. λοφος = huppe; τρικκος, nom propre. Les espèces: 1. L. spicifer (Lafr.); 2. L. squamicristatus (Lafr.)" (von Berlepsch 1883); "Lophotriccus Berlepsch, 1883, Proc. Zool. Soc. London, p. 553. Type, by subsequent designation (Sharpe, 1884, Zool. Record for 1883, Aves, p. 34).
