(Icteridae; Ϯ Forbes's Blackbird A. forbesi) Brazilian Portuguese names Anumará or Arumará for Forbes's Blackbird (doubtless from Tupí ana kindred, úm black, and ara bird, in allusion to its black ani-like plumage); "The Brazilians called it "Arumará" " (Forbes 1881); "Anumara (new genus): Type species: Agelaeus forbesi P. L. Sclater; Included taxa: monotypic; Etymology: this masculine name is a formalization of the local Brazilian name, anumará, for the type species" (Powell et al. 2014);"Anumara Powell, Barker, Lanyon, Burns, Klicka and Lovette, 2014, Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 71, pp. 94-112.  Type, by original designation and monotypy, Agelaeus forbesi P.
