(Pycnonotidae; Ϯ Cape Bulbul P. capensis) Gr. πυκνος puknos  thick, compact; -νωτος -nōtos  -backed  < νωτον nōton  back; alluding to the thickly feathered back of the Cape Bulbul and many other bulbuls; "IX.
