(Pittidae; † Macklot's Pitta E. macklotii) Gr. ερυθρος eruthros red; genus Pitta Vieillot, 1816, pitta; "They are characterized by the unpatterned face and throat; breast band distinct from belly patch; belly all red; and no prominent turquoise shoulder patch" (Beehler & Pratt 2016); "Erythropitta, Bp. — 187. mackloti, Temm. — 188. celebensis, Forst. — 189. erythrogastra, Cuv. — 190. venusta, Mull. — 191. granatina, Temm.
