(Accipitridae; † Black-collared Hawk B. nigricollis) Based on "Buserai" of Levaillant 1798, pl. 20, and specific name Falco busarellus Daudin, 1800 (= syn. Busarellus nigricollis) (see busarellus): "3e sous-famille. BUTEONINÆ.  ...   Busarellus (ou Buses de marais, La Fr.)" (de La Fresnaye 1839); "BUSARELLUS. OIS.—  Synonyme latin du sous-genre Buseray." (de La Fresnaye in d'Orbigny 1842); "BUSARELLUS, La Fresnaie.  Ce genre intermédiaire aux Buses et aux Busards est placé ici pour mémoire; il sera probablement admis, car il repose sur quelques bons caractères.  L'espèce type est le circus busarellus de Vieillot (Encyl. p. 1212), dont le circus leucocephalus du même auteur (p.1216) et d'Azara (no.13) n'est qu'une variété.  Voyez au no. 45 de cette liste la Buteo Buzarellus et la synonymie qui s'y rapporte.  M.
