Gr. λαιος laios thrush); “Oreolais, masc. gen. nov. Type species: Apalis pulchra Sharpe, 1891. ... Etymology: Lais can refer to singers, corresponding to these species, where male and female often sing together, albeit at different pitch and speed. The prefix oreo refers to montane habitats” (Nguembock et al. 2008).
