DEFINITIONS

PRUNELLA

L. burneta  hedge-sparrow), from the rufous-brown upperparts of the familiar and homely Dunnock; "Braunelle.  ...  Herr Hallen hat ihm mit Recht den Namen des braunen Fliegenstechers gegeben" (Günther 1772); "MOUCHET, Prunella, Gessner.  Motacilla, Linn.
